Chuchini has been a private conservation project since 1973, making it one of the oldest privately protected areas in Bolivia. What started as a family initiative to save the local ecosystem has evolved into a recognized Santuario de Vida Silvestre that successfully combines conservation, sustainable tourism, and research.
