Support Conservation and Preservation: Create More Habitat for Wildlife in the Amazon Rainforest<\/h2>

Project Overview<\/h3>

DONATE for Wildlife Habitat Preservation in\u00a0<\/b><\/span>CHUCHINI<\/strong> is a protected eco-nature reserve located in the APM Ibar\u00e9 – Mamor\u00e9 Municipal Protected Area, nestled in the basin of the Amazon Rainforest. During the rainy season, which lasts for six months each year, the area floods, turning the hills into isolated islands. Although it is designated as a Municipal Protected Area, the surrounding region faces threats from deforestation, poaching, agriculture, and other illegal activities.<\/strong><\/p>

Wildlife from distant areas migrate to these islands within the Chuchini Nature Reserve to find refuge<\/strong>. In 2020, we successfully constructed 10 small hills through a crowdfunding initiative. We are now seeking financial support to build 20 additional small islands around the existing hills.<\/span> This expansion will provide much-needed additional habitat for animals and enhance their chances of survival in the face of ongoing threats. Constructing 20 New Hills to Expand Habitat for Wildlife in the Amazon Rainforest<\/h2>

Project Overview\u00a0 -DONATE for Wildlife Habitat Preservation<\/h3>

CHUCHINI<\/strong> is a protected area renowned for its artificial hills, originally built by a hydraulic civilization over 10,000 years ago. These ancient mounds were constructed to remain above floodwaters during the rainy season. Today, during this period, the area floods, turning these hills into isolated islands. The indigenous Moje\u00f1o Trinitario people named this place “Chuchini,” meaning “House of the Jaguar,” as jaguars and other wildlife journey from afar to rest on these islands.<\/p>

Despite its protection, Chuchini faces significant threats from deforestation, poaching, agriculture, and other illegal activities in the surrounding areas. To safeguard and support the diverse wildlife that relies on these islands, we are launching a project to construct 20 additional smaller islands around the existing ones. This expansion will enhance the habitat and provide more space for animals to thrive.<\/strong><\/p>

Our plan involves creating a safe haven by building these new islands and planting endemic fruit trees and plants.
